SHOW STATEMENT
Splatter Worlds is an exploration of the limits of the "frame." What began as an experimental approach to building a composition with poured paint, quickly blossomed into a full series. Each piece features one of my signature landscapes inspired by stories told in movies and games. My art is an escape from the day-to-day grind in order to explore new and unique worlds. It is my hope that these fantastical environments will allow anyone to find their own escape. Never forget to take a step back, enjoy the simple beauty in the world, and go off on an adventure of your own.

"Forgotten Citadel"
Mixed media on Wood
18” x 12”
$250
“There wasn’t much left of the fortress. On top of the highest peak in the region, the Citadel was once a shining beacon for the kingdom’s military. Now though, it sat empty. The toils of war and the decline of the kingdom have left it only a relic of the past.”
"Golden Isles"
Acrylic on Board
12” x 12”
$200
“Far above the burning sky the ancient islands glistened in the light. To the travelers’ surprise, the jagged rocky spires hanging far below the lush vegetation were made of a dazzling gold.”
"Habitation Bubble"
Acrylic on board
18” x 18”
$350
"Unlike its neighboring planets, the rocky world lacked a thick atmosphere to support life. That didn't stop the colonists from building an outpost though. Over time as they learned to harness more of the sun's energy, the outpost grew into a bustling city at the edge of the solar system."
"Natural Moon"
Acrylic on canvas
4” x 4”
$50
“The planet’s atmosphere was composed primarily of strange spores and dust which gave the sky an eerie green color. However, when the moon was full the radiating light illuminated the mostly barren landscape creating a sense of life wherever one looked.”
"Tiny Adventures"
Acrylic on canvas
4” x 4”
$50
“They weren’t going far nor for very long, but the two friends knew that even a single afternoon was the perfect for a little adventure.”
"Autumn Embers"
Mixed media on board
5.5” x 5.5”
$80
“Though the trees have since shed their leaves, life still persists. Even as color fades from the forest, hibernation breathes the promise of new life in the spring.”
"Basking in Golden Light"
Oil and acrylic on board
18” x 18”
$300
“The storm had passed nearly an hour ago and the sun was nearing the horizon. From the latent moisture in the air the sun’s rays were scattered into an ominous golden light. While it was peaceful, there was an uneasy feeling created across the still waters.”
"Kingdom in Odin's Canyon"
Oil and acrylic on board
16” x 16”
$450
"Nestled deep in Odin's Canyon lays a kingdom of prosperous merchants, craftsmen, and hunters. This land is spoken of as if it was a myth, but it is indeed real."
"Crossing into Foreign Lands"
Acrylic on board
36” x 12”
$500
“It was the edge of no-man’s land and the beginning of the neighboring kingdom. The diplomats were in awe of the natural beauty of the land, but were still nervous knowing it wasn’t home anymore. If the two nations were to co-exist, then a peace treaty needed to be brokered. Enjoying the view while they could, the travelers knew that it was only a matter of time before they met with their counterparts on the long journey ahead.”
"Monuments Weathered by Sand"
Acrylic on board
36” x 12”
$450
“The desert was a long and dangerous road to cross, but it was necessary. The adventurers knew through the stories told by the elders that the kingdom of the sands was once prosperous, but that was ages ago. Now there are only a few monuments and old structures completely weathered by the sand.”
"Secret Cascade"
Acrylic on board
18” x 12”
$300
“The secluded lake was certainly a respite from the long journey. Very few travelers knew of its existence though. Unless one specifically knew to cross through the marshlands to the east, you’d never know the secret cascade existed.”
"Shadows of the Moon"
Acrylic on canvas
14” x 11”
$125
“There are some in this world who would call us monsters or demons, but those are merely labels we’ve been given by the light walkers. It is all that the moonlight creates in shadow that we protect. Our lives are born in the darkness and thus we shall protect all that exists in the shadows of the moon.”
"St. Elmo's Fire"
Oil and acrylic on board
36” x 6”
SOLD
"It was hard to believe they were actually seeing the green glow on the horizon. Most thought of it as just a myth told by pilots and sailors, but despite their skepticism their eyes showed them the truth."
"Bridge to the Isolated Kingdom"
Acrylic on board
36” x 24”
$2000
“The hero was still a long way from the city at the edge of the kingdom, but he could already see it in the distance. Despite it being so far from every other settlement, it was a bustling metropolis. Traders and merchants crossed the great bridge almost constantly. Soldiers guarded them at each end. Though he had never been this far from the center of the kingdom before, he somehow felt right at home.”
"Midnight Splash"
Mixed media on board
5.5” x 5.5”
$80
“Between sky and land there is unity. Where the arms of the ancient tree’s branches reach upward into the heavens; the roots stretch down into the wonders of the earth.”
"Realms of Great Men"
Acrylic on Board
12” x 12”
$300
“The wilderness was spectacular. People who traveled through the mountains these days were merely tourists and hunters. However, the grandeur and majesty always invoked the memory of a time when great men first explored the same lands. Crossing the endless mountains, fording rivers, and bearing the snowy peaks, those men sacrificed everything to put their name into the history books.”
