Asheville, NC - Whipping along the winding road watching the leaves change... the mountains look deep blue as they fade into the horizon. Asheville is an amazing place, and one of our first stops on our trip. We had an excellent time exploring the town and neighboring areas.

NASA, FL - While in Florida this year, we visited the Kennedy Space Center on Cape Canaveral. One of my favorite things was getting to see the custom silver van that took the astronauts to the launch pad, the Astrovan. But what if the van had rockets on it.....

Sedona is a magical place. The reddest rocks you have ever seen meet with green shrubs, trees, and prickly pear cactus. It is a lushness amongst the arid view.

Pikas - Pika's are one of my favorite animals. Coincedentally, they are also the basis for my favorite fictional animal as a kid: Pikachu. They are very territorial animals and will "bark" (chirp) at you whenever you step too close to their territory. It's pretty cute.

Grizzly 399 - Known only by her research number, Grizzly 399 has captivated photographers since 2007, becoming the most famous and most photographed mother bear in the world. I caught a documentary about this awesome bear while staying in Crested Butte, CO. Check out 399: Queen of the Tetons for the full story.
